Hi

A friend of mine has an emac A1002 1955 which has not been working for a few years and has been stored away. They think that there are lots of photos stored on the hard drive and wish to try and obtain them.

My question is; Is it possible to remove the hard drive and put into an external enclosure?
The next part is the killer; would a windows PC recognise the hard drive as an external drive to allow me to search through it. Or would only another mac computer be able to do it ?

Hope my question is understandable

Thanks in advance

Most definitely...this can be done with any hard drive.:)

You would be best using another Mac (there must be someone around with another Mac);).

Thanks for the replies so far.

Unfortunately i dont know any other mac user and i am not one either.

The ubuntu partition sounds plausible. however i am not that great with software. so would this be a challenging thing to do ?
