I've figured out what all the inputs on the side of my Macbook Pro are for, but at the front of the laptop (next to the indicator light/button that unlocks the screen) what is that black circle for? I thought it might be the internal microphone, but I really have no idea! If you know what I'm talking about... could you tell me what it is??

Thanks so much!

IIRC it's the IR input for a remote.

When I first looked at the MBP I thought the IR reciever was a headphone jack. Guess its more logical to put it on the side with the rest of the inputs.

They sure do hide alot of things inside the stereo speakers... ambient light sensors, sound sensors/microphones, and speakers ;D
