Hey guys,

I've been a Mac guy forever but with Diablo 3's release on the horizon, and my iMac which is now about 6 years old not being able to run the game, I have been thinking of building a PC for the sole purpose of playing the game.

My Mac still runs exceptionally well and programs like photoshop, after effects, maya and final cut run well enough for me which doesn't justify me buying a new Mac just yet. That's why I was wondering if I could use my iMac as a monitor for a PC tower.

I have read another thread but that was talking about a much newer 27" model. My goal is to play games on a PC connected to my iMac as a monitor and being able to switch between the two OS's.

It is a 2006 intel iMac, the all white kind

Thanks!

Not possible without turning your iMac into a "FrankenMac". The iMac (with the exception of the 27" model) has only one video output port, no input.

However, you might want to try using the "ScreenRecycler" program, however, it will only work with another Mac not a PC.

You mean creating a FrankenMac is a bad thing?? Why doesn't someone tell me these things?
