HUGE variations in thickness!

I completely dis-assembled my MBP, and used a micrometer to measure the thickness of the metal skin.

I can't believe this, but there is more than .000112" difference between the thinnest places and the thickest places.

Does anobody else have this problem with their MBP?

Should I take it back?

I am soo disappointed in Apple!

I thought JK was his crazy name. Sometimes yanks have starnge names that I don't understand. I met a guy called Dallas, no he wasn't from Dallas or Texas. His parents were evil.

I just find it so amusing to read all the posts about "the gap between my lid and base is un-equal", or other drivel that sane people shouldn't be wasting brain cells on.

You may think its funny but people do have real concerns. I for one do not like the fact that my screen doesnt sit evenly when it is closed. Im sorry that I spent upwards of $3000 on a computer and would like to know why it isnt like it should be. There was no reason to make a new thread just to show how "funny" it is that people have real concerns for expensive equipment.
