Today I got Live Interior 3D Pro. The program runs very very very spot laggy and bogs down horribly. I have upgraded RAM. I was under the impression Macs where ideal computers for this kind of design stuff. Final Cut Express is also a bit sluggish.

any ideas?

Are you trying to run anything else at the same time?

nope. I did a fresh restart to reset my RAM and turned on my app.

Just did permissions, would this have anything to do with it ?

Repairing permissions for “MAC HD”
Determining correct file permissions.
Permissions differ on ./Library/Application Support/Macromedia/Shockwave 10/Shockwave 10 Preferences, should be -rwxrwxr-x , they are -rw-rw-r--
Owner and group corrected on ./Library/Application Support/Macromedia/Shockwave 10/Shockwave 10 Preferences
Permissions corrected on ./Library/Application Support/Macromedia/Shockwave 10/Shockwave 10 Preferences

in your signature you specify only 1gig of ram ... if you're trying to do something more complex on your MacBook as far as 3D or Final Cut editing goes I think that's just about the bare minimum to have :(

I think it also depends on your processor, graphics card, and ram. Post your specs or model number of your computer. You might have a computer that isn't powerful enough to run the app.

Doing anything 3D with that old GMA 950 is going to be extremely aggravating.

Graphics card and definitely RAM is going to slow you down. Those programs store a lot of stuff in memory until rendered.

Still bro you honestly need 4gb of ram and at least more than a duo core. Get an intel core 2 duo and you will see noticeable improvements. But what also effects that is your GPU. If you have a little GPU (like my 9400m which is meant for mediocre GPU intensive programs) then you will probably run into a wall. But I am upgrading to 4gb of 1067mhz ram, then I have upgraded to a 500gb 7200rpm hard drive. But still my gpu isn't as intensive as some peoples MBP. Like the 9600m GT 512GB DDR3 GPU.

hope that makes sense.
