I'm about to buy my first mac, and I'm interested in the macbook pro.

I want to get the 13" one, but I'm not sure about the difference in the processor speeds. I checked the prices on the 2 sizes with the same ram and HDD size, and the 2.26 Ghz one is about 150 bucks cheaper than the 2.53 Ghz model.

I was wondering is the bump in processor speed is worth the extra 150?

Yes, if you can get the bump in CPU for only $50 take it.
You'll always be able to get that much more for it on resell.

As always, I recommend you go for the fastest CPU you can afford.
If cash is tight, keep that money and invest in a backup drive instead.

Thanks. I'll probably wait for the higher processor model.

As a sidenote, does apple offer the 12 months no interest financing in the physical stores, or is that an online-only offer?

You have to purchase from the online Apple Store to get the 12 months no interest offer.

No idea why, but they don't offer it when you purchase in the physical store.
