My heart is set on converting to the religion of Mac
Although
I have a small dilemma...
hence my arrival :Smirk:

Looking at 2 Choices

21.5-inch:
3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
1920 x 1080 resolution
4GB memory
500GB hard drive
8x double-layer SuperDrive
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics
A$ 1,599.00

21.5-inch:
3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
1920 x 1080 resolution
4GB memory
1TB hard drive
8x double-layer SuperDrive
ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics with 256MB
$1,999.00

The first Mac I'm really happy with but I would rather the ATI Radeon card instead of the GeForce, the 1TB hard drive I really don't need, 500GB is plenty, My Question; Is it possible an apple shop would swap cards for me and charge the difference while not including the 1TB hard drive?

Wow, sure is expensive down under.

Unfortunately, no they couldn't swap cards. The video is integral to the systemboard.

Tough choice there at that price difference.

?? - Don't know what the conversion rate happens to be. But over here, those two are $1199 and $1499.

Sorry, didn't want to make ya feel worse.

Not a bad idea, although I would imagine you'd need an inverter or a different power supply since the US uses 110V outlets.

I would go for the more expensive one, but try to choose having less RAM or a smaller hard drive to bring down the price if possible. Upgrading those components on your own is much cheaper.

Apple is only overcharging by about $70 on the cheaper model which I thought was fine given shipping costs but they are overcharging by almost $350 on the higher end 21.5

What gives there??

No way. Just a different power cord with Aus plugs, or not even that, just a plug adapter. The mac itself is good from 100-240v.

...not to mention that the U.S. store only ships to U.S. addresses.
