Update Airport Express?

My Airport Express consistently drops its connection to my Extreme (goes from a green to orange light). It happens about 10x per day if I use it long enough. Very frustrating since my entire 76GB music library is stored on a NAS.

I just did a factory reset of the Express to see if that helps to solve the problem (apparently not...as I was writing this it dropped the connection within the first minute) and I am curious if I need to update the firmware. It is currently running version 7.5.2.

I have iTunes 10.5. No microwave but I do live in an apartment, but with thick, concrete walls. Any suggestions?

Way... way too many specs to list.
7.5.2 is the most current, they haven't updated the express in a VERY long time. Well over a year.

How far in feet are you from the Extreme and how many walls in between ?
How do you have the Express set up to join,extend or create ?

Try a different wireless channel on your router.

My Express is about 12 feet from the Extreme with 1 wall in between. It is set up to join.

I will try to change the channel and see if that solves the problem.

I have better luck with newer equipment by selecting WPA2 only for encryption .
