importing exporting vcards into address book

I import a vcard that has all my email addresses pasted into the notes section. does anyone know how i can turn them into individual contacts?

If what u are importing is a .vcf card just drag it onto the address book icon in the Dock and it will ask if want to add it

I can add it but it only adds one contact with my list in the notes of that contact. but i need that list turned into contacts so then i can search for them later. can't search while they are within a contact.
