Quicktime 7.6.6 out now for 10.5 (but not for 10.6)

Quicktime 7.6.6 was just released today.
And the strange thing it says the system version required for it is Mac OS X v10.5 through v10.5.8. It's not even on my software update in 10.6 though I use QT7 a lot for codecs that are not in QTX anymore. I hope they are not getting QT7 die.

And judging by the size of QT7 it is a universal binary. But I'm not 100% sure on that. I didn't download it.

I'm using Snow Leopard 10.6.3 and last night downloaded the new iTunes 9.1 update. QuickTime 7.6.6 was included and updated automatically. As you probably know, QT version 7 is hidden away under Applications - Utilities. QT 10 is listed in Applications.

That does make sense. And thanks. I do know about that as I use QT7 a lot.
It seems you can not download a standalone intel QT7.6.6. You can only get the UB version or DL itunes to get the intel version.

Good call. I noticed that also that no QT 7 was coming down although the iTunes update was quite large so I figured it was part of the update. Thanks for that. I keep forgetting about QT 10 and QT 7 both being there.
