Hi all, this is my first post and just to say it's a great forum!

Anyways my question is regarding my CD MacBook bought in July '06 with the pitiful 80gig HDD. I've already ordered the WD 250gig HDD without thinking what the maximum my MacBook could handle. So would my MacBook be able to utilise all 250gigs of my new HDD?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome milamber! It's another yes. I just installed one last weekend in conjunction with upgrading to Leopard. All the space is visible and it works like a champ. ^_^

Does anyone use bootcamp? Do you have to repartition the drive for windows?

Also I am guessing you have to reinstall osx right?

Ive done the bootcamp XP install..
Very straight foward. click on bootcamp it prompts you all the way thru.
insert the XP disk install XP then it will ask you for the Leopard DVD after its done.
Very simple.. you DO NOT have to reinstall OSX.
Bootcamp does the partioning, you can control the size.. I believe its UP TO a 32Gb partition for XP...

It's as big as you want, but only 32 if you want to be able to browse the files in OSX...in which case you need to format it as FAT. This is always a nice thing to have :)...
