Hey everyone,

I'm having a problem with my mac that the OS was not installed properly thus a select number of programs are not working properly or not at all. The biggest one being the installer. If someone would be able to upload a copy of there installer that would be great. Thanks.

Why don't you just reinstall the operating system and save yourself some hassle?

how do you know the OS was installed improperly?

what are the syptoms (besides the ambiguous "select number of programs are not working properly or not at all.")?

I would repair permissions and then down load and install the combo update of whatever version of the OS you are running. Then do another repair permissions.

Hey,

I'm unable to find my install discs right now. Is nobody able to just upload a copy of their installer?

Listen, I cannot believe you have the Terminal missing from a working OS X system. And what do you mean by the Installer? Installer of what?

And no I will not uploading anything here.

Yeah, I'm thinking we'd all be a bit more forthcoming if you weren't being so opaque.

Okay here's the story,

I recently bought a mouse (Logitech MX Revolution). A disc comes with it that is only compatible with PC. It tells me to go to Logitech's website to download a mac version (a .dmg). I download this .dmg, mount it, and then it providdes me with an installer of the .pkg format. And when try to open it I get a program called "installer" bouncing in the dock for about a second, then it goes away. I've attached a picture (below) which shows what my installers icon looks like it doesn't have the proper icon and when I try to open it in the finder it once again just bounces in the dock for about a second then goes away. I also know that it isn't an issue with the Logitech installer because I've never properly installed a .pkg and this problem happens with every .pkg I try to install.
