Hi lately my mac has been taking about 2-3 minutes to boot up and sometimes when I turn my mac on it will just stay at the white screen with the apple logo and loading circle underneath it forever and I have to to turn my mac off then back on for it to be able to boot. I have also been getting a lot of spinning beach balls of death. I have the early 2011 15" Macbook Pro with Mac OS X Lion
10.7.1
I have had to use the disk utility on my OS X install DVD several times to repair the hd since I got this mac due to it not booting. Today I verified my hd again and got this.

Disk Utility started.

Don't see any question posed there. But, I'd highly recommend you replace that drive.

Unless you're shutting the machine down repeatedly by holding the power button, there's no reason you should be needing to repair a drive on an ongoing basis. Since you're in the warranty period, I'd call or take it in to Apple.

I was just wondering if you can tell what wrong with my hd by the log I posted, and would repairing it even help at this point?

Personally, I'd repair it (as suggested) immediately... then make a backup, then order a new drive... in that order. I'd be using it as an excuse to upgrade to a larger, faster drive. Depending on the drive in the machine and it still being in warranty, even if I replaced it, I'd take it to Apple to get a free replacement, if for nothing else, but to have another backup drive.

You're risking losing data if you continue using it without repairing/replacing/backing up the drive.
