I am using an iMac and just completed a "verify disk" from the utilities menu. I got the following error messages in RED:

Verify disk:

invalid volumes file count, invalid volume directory count, the volume found corrupt and needs to be repaired

error: this disk needs to be repaired...then use disk utility to repair the disk

What should I do? It obviously seems like their is or might be issues.

Thanks

P.S OS is Leopard 10.6.7 BUT the original OS was Tiger

Issue fixed

thanks! I let it run its course.....and at the end saw "The volume was repaired successfully" in green font.

I guess it fixed itself.

Any idea what the issue was or means?
