Can anybody help me? I have shown below 2 pictures, one is of myself and the other is an example of how I want the picture of me to turn out. (Kind of Pop Arty). I was wondering if any enthusiastic artworkers out there fancied creating the effect on my picture so that it looks similar to the one of the girl?

Pretty Please?!?!

Ok here's a quick attempt. I'll try and spend some more time later on, I know this isn't exactly what you are looking for and I can do better but I have to get to class now.

that effect is called 'vector' and its quite difficult from what i've attempted in photoshop. you basically have to draw over each like with the right color, very hard to do with a mouse.

Well here is part 1 the line layer. Anyone who wants to give a whack at his request can use this line image for themselves. I already did the hard part. I'd love ot see competition in this and you guys can use this if need be. to save me the time of uploaing a PSD. file. Place this as a layer above the original image @ 40% opacity and you're where I am.

Here is an extremely rushed job of it. I wouldn't normally use Photoshop for something like this, but rather use Illustrator and do a proper rotoscoped vector, but I really should be sleeping right now :D

Wow! - I have to say! Quite impressive! I have a few questions, the work done so far is really helpfull too because I now have ideas as to what it is I actually need to learn!

1st question, How is that line layer picture done?

And a question to all else involved how have you got the effects on each of your pictures?

I just boosted saturation of the original. Then I applied one of the sketch filters in photoshop (can't remember which one exactly) this gave the painted look to it. After that I made a new copy layer of the sketch-filtered image and applied a black and white halftone filter to that, adjusted it's opacity till I liked what I saw and flattened the entire image to merge all the layers together.

I never got the time to transfer it to illustrator and do a background though.

Glad you got what you wanted, do you have one of the creative suites?

my two were photoshop filters, first one being poster edges and second being 'cutout'

I didn't do much but play with the background. The cutout is still a bit rough, this was my first ever try at something like this. Thanks for putting the challenge out there, I learned a lot.

I like the background in the last one the best.

I can email them. Send me a PM with your address, I can see them fine on my browser so I don't know what else to do.
