    DNS - dynamic name server
    converts what you type in (www.website.com) to an ip number (xxx.xx.xxx.xx)
    so that you go where you wanted to go.

    Think of DNS like this. The Dynamic Name Server is the post office and the web sites are the many houses in the city.The DNS server route the correct package to the proper address, web site.
