It's dinner time (for me) last night and Petey, as usual, is lurking as close as he can get away with and turning on the charm. He's actually pouring it on harder than usual because we had rotisserie chicken, and he LOVES fresh poultry. I'll have to get a video of him trying to get into my cooler next time I'm brining a turkey for the smoker. How could anyone not just utterly adore this guy?

Looks like he's fainting from lack of food (chicken) :)

Cheers :)

Sam, our dalmatian / lab cross at 14¾. He's starting to show his age now, losing sight in one eye and going deaf (except for the rustling of food wrappers :D). He is also stumbling more often, but still goes out for at least 3 walks a day and is still full of mischief...

Yup, although his lordship is a little put out because he hasn't had his 3rd walk. After our dinner he'll need his activity ball and some rough games to soak up some of that energy, then we'll get some peace :)

Cheers :)

He's a border terrier.

I figured the terrier part but was guessing based on just a head shot. I love the terrier breeds. They are extremely loyal and loving. I never had a border but I had a friend who use to raise them (she has since passed.) I have had a Fox terrier, Australian terrier, Silky terrier, and two Airedale Terriers. Loved them all and they are now in doggie heaven.

I now have a Birgle (bird dog beagle mix). She is different. Loves to fetch, chews everything - and I do mean everything. She is also a ground mole destroyer.

She looks like she's an excitable hand full Lisa!! I bet those wet / muddy paw prints are going to find themselves inside as well!

Dexter is my first dog since I had Cindy (a rough hared Collie) when I was a child. We can't remember what life was like before we had him now, and given my circumstances he has been an absolute Godsend :)

Yeah, nickyr - I miss having a smaller lap dog that would have the patience to sit quietly. Our current girl does not do that . She has endless energy! She was a father's day gift that is supposed to be able to hunt rabbits. She does hunt but so far she is too young and could use an older dog to run with. She will probably end up being a hyper pet instead. :\
