What time do you eat Thanksgiving dinner?
Just a little discussion that has been going on around my house, what time do people normally eat dinner on Thanksgiving? We usually have it around 1-2 PM.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

We should have a poll on turkey sizes!

Yep. Lunch is lunch, not dinner. At least to my parents. My grandparents though…that's a different story.

We don't have a specific time. In the past years, we have eaten "dinner" anywhere from 4-7pm. A couple of years ago, we closed down the restaurant the whole day, and partied there until the turkey was done and ready to devour. That was fun!

    Lunchish, around 1-2.

My family's not too big on leftover turkey, so we prefer a smaller bird. Thaws and cooks faster, too.

I have to eat 3 dinners!

The first one at my Gramp's house. 12-1ish.

The second one will be at my grandmother's house. 2-4ish.

The third will be at my house. 4:30-nap time. lol

For our house we only bought an 11 lb bird this year.

About 5 years ago, my wife and I moved into our first apartment and had the family over for thanksgiving to celebrate. We bought a 28lb turkey!! It was so big, it almost touched the broiler element (the turkey bag actually burnt on top), and we had to special order a huge turkey pan from some cooking website.

When it comes to Thanksgiving, I'm all about the sides and no turkey. My main course is usually mashed potatoes and gravy!
