Here the problem, I hate windows vista with a passion...

It kept freezing etc

So much for innovative

One thing which they didnt "copy" off mac osx is stability...

So, I have windows xp sp1

I need windows on my mac and after suffering windows vista, i would like to install it... However bootcamp minimum requirement is service pack 2, no upgrades! How do i go about using my copy?

I have everything...
Official copy of windows xp
service pack 2 disk
and bootcamp software

Will it work if i install?

Get hold of nLite, it will let you slipstream SP2 into your Windows installation and create a new ISO.
