Ľ Linuxaria – Everything about GNU/Linux and Open source How to scan Linux for vulnerabilities with lynis
Tried this this morning. It works, don't know how useful it is yet. Still looking into it.
Wonder if it could be used across a network to check other computers?Delusions are often functional. A motherís opinions about her childrenís beauty, intelligence, goodness, et cetera ad nauseam, keep her from drowning them at birth.

You know, that could be quite helpful if you were looking to harden your system. I can't imagine many people beyond geeks would find it useful but it might provide a nice check if you needed to lock down the machine.
Did you try it in OS X or Linux?

Tried it in OS X. Works fine. It's actually a shell script with several dependencies. Don't think it could be used on a network.Delusions are often functional. A motherís opinions about her childrenís beauty, intelligence, goodness, et cetera ad nauseam, keep her from drowning them at birth.
