Snow Leopard comes on a DVD. Recovery applies to Lion. Windows 7 only? if it turns you on yes.

i have dvd of snow leopard ... but it dosen't boot .... i don't know the reason

Is it a grey DVD or the white one with the Snow Leopard on it? See http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/os...49-what-os-disk-do-i-need-brief-overview.html for examples. The grey ones are machine-specific and do not necessarily transfer from one machine to another.

What happens when you try to boot from the DVD? D any error messages appear.

What Snow Leopard DVD is this? Is it the one that came with the MBP? Retail? Another Machine?

You can put Windows 7 all by itself on the MBP but to me that is a lot of $$$ going to waste just to run Windows. A Mac without OSX is to me not a Mac!

my dvd of snow leopard is copy from my friend ....and my friend copy it from his friend ...and he don't know ......my macbook pro ....model A1226 ... and before damaging my hard..i had snow leopard

first ..make my HD in GPT sysytem and make HFS+ partition...then..i put dvd in the mac and press and holding "C" .... nothig appeare ...Note: i made test in toshiba lap and th dvd is fine....Note 2 : my dvd of mac is fine also...can u help me beacuse i hate my lap
