    PC backgrounds
    How do you change the background on a dell laptop running windows XP. I know nothing about pc's so please explain using as much mac lingo as possible .thanks in advance.

    iBook G4 OSX Tiger
    right click on the desktop, select properties, background is the second tab i believe

    I do not have a mouse to right click only the mouse touch pad

    Intel Mac 17" 1GB RAM
    Indeed, if it's an image on your hd you wanna use as your background then this is the way to go. If it's an image you've seen on the net then right click it and click 'set as desktop background' or something similar.

    it is an image I made on the Macs I want to email it to the Dell laptop

    in the start menu, open up the 'control panel'. in the control panel open 'display', again i believe it is the second tab.

    by the way, are you changing it from your mac? if not, the dell laptop should have two buttons under the touch pad.

    Specs:
    17" MacBook Pro
    Start menu > Settings > Control Panel > Display (I think) > Desktop tab, from there is pretty straight forward.

    If it's a PC laptop, it should have a second trackpad button for right-clicking.
