Have MacBook Air yet TurboTax comes in CD

Hello,

About a year ago I purchased MacBook Air without a CD/DVD drive. Now I would like to use TurboTax to do my own taxes. However, it comes in a CD and I want to avoid using their web-based version (I'm not sure how to secure my Mac from hackers)

How do I install a program from CD onto MacBook Air without the CD/DVD drive? Please note, the MacBook Air is connected to a home network. I have a Ubuntu (on Dell Inspiron 1545 series with CD/DVD drive) that is also connected to this home network.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

using web based or getting an external drive would be so simple...I have never had any luck installing from a remote CD/DVD drive. I would be interested to see if you have any more luck than I have. If I were you I would be an external drive just for the simple convenience of always having it as a backup. Here is a good place to start:

So buy the download version - link - exactly the same as the CD version instead of doing it with the online version.

Any of these tax prep software companies sell their product via download or CD.
