Hi - new here but longtime browser. I am not as advanced as many of you. I am running bootcamp and xp sb2 on leopard due to the kids having to use PC's for school. They keep getting a message that iexplorer needs to have virus protection. Exactly what am I supposed to do with this info? Is there a microsoft download for IE that's free? Is there any freeware for this? How about IE's firewall - is it decent? I have always heard about how many viruses are out there for microsoft and know very little about them. The microsoft site is a little confusing for me. Thanks in advance.

You can download AVG for a free antivirus program. I haven't used it myself, but it's often recommended:

The firewall that comes with Windows is ok, but if you want something additional you can also download a free firewall package like ZoneAlarm (which is fairly nice, or was when I used it):

Just make sure you keep your Windows install patched (Windows Update), and that your antivirus software stays up to date. Additionally, you can download other programs to help scan for spyware and such (SpyBot, Ad-Aware, etc), but you probably don't need ot worry about them unless you suspect something is infecting your system.
