Questions about scrolling/swiping and diary entries

Hi,
Do you know why I get duplicate diary entries when I try synching my iMac with my iPad please?

Also if I try to stop the finger wiping of the mouse as it is too rapid, any adjustment or disconnecting in the preferences has no effect. Is there no save function?
