mac mini c2d 2.0 & ibook 1.33 1.5gb ram
hi all,

1st time poster, long time viewer. just got myself a new(er) ibook refurb'd from welovemacs.com (great!!). its a 1.33ghz (M9846LL/A) 1.5 ram, but only 40g 4200 rpm HD (ewwww..)

soooo, i would like to know if this would work..i have a 2.0 intel c2d mac mini (MB463LL/A) and am looking to swap out the orginal 120g 5400rpm HD for a new 7200rpm HD for the mini and put the orig inside my ibook. i know that the size/speed/height will fit and all that, just wondering if there would be any issues? insight/knowdlege would be nice. i know they both need 9.5mm height and junk but other info helps..

thanks guys!

Replacing the hard disk in an iBook is like performing brain surgery. There are about a billion tiny screws, and each one of them has a specific place it goes. I wish you a lot of luck.

im not worried about doing the HD myself, im quite aware that its not worth it after seeing how many steps there were on ifixit.com ....

iv found a local IT mac shop that will do the labor for around 50 bucks so im just going to take the mini HD out myself and replace it...ive already done the RAM in the ibook myself as well (which was pretty easy). im just going to have my old mini HD sitting around after the upgrade and the ibook could use a speed/space boost. i have no plans on doing it myself, at least not this time ;D
