Just bought a used MacBook 13" - second generation, OSX 10.5. When I tested before purchase, it worked flawlessly. From this point any time it is powered on, the bottom half of the screen is white. Slowly the white area shrinks with some rastering. After about 10 minutes, the entire screen displays and works as normal.

OK - the seller lied when I asked, what's wrong that you haven't told me.

Is this a progressive issue or one that can be resolved without screen replacement?
