Plugin for achieving throbbing dance sound?

Hi, I'm using Logic 8, and am currently curious about how to easily (not manually) achieve an effect I have heard in lots of dance tracks in particular.

It basically sounds like - with every kick drum hit (or 4 times a bar) - all the sounds APART from the kick are throbbing in and out. It dramatically professional-ises even very simple music. Really makes you feel the beat.

A really good example is Satisfaction by Benny Benassi & The Biz, can't think of any others off the top of my head. You can hear what I mean if you search for the radio edit of that track on the iTunes store.

MY QUESTION IS - how is that being achieved? A plugin? Surely not manually doing it through automation?

Any help would be much appreciated

Cheers

All they are doing is dropping out the treble frequencies of the track, then raising them again.

I've done it for tracks to get the same effect.

You can get a similar effect by using an auto-wah, flanger or phaser.
