I have CS2 on my old mac, and just pulled it (firewire) onto my new macbook pro. Now, It will not load on the new macbook. The icons are there, but it says my code is not valid or unavailable. Do I have to re-install? I don't want to waste a download as you only get 3 I think.

Any ideas?

Thanks

You'll have to *install* the apps on the new computer.

You can't just drag the app's icon over.

Nope, I'm pretty sure he's right.. CS2 is one of those apps that actually install, instead of just dragging & dropping... Kinda like MS Office 2004

Well, you *could* dig through your system and find over 2Gbs worth of small files related to CS2, put them into a folder, while remembering what folder they were in, then transfer all of that over and hope it works...

I used Migration Assistant, using a firewire cable. Photoshop CS 2 transferred fine, Illustrator did not. I instaled the whole suite from scratch again though.
