I'm having problems with dieing pixels on my iPhone 3G screen, and I was wondering if I could go to Best Buy or the AT&T store to get it replaced under warranty. I bought the phone at an Apple store in Dallas, but I go to school at the University of Arkansas and there isn't an Apple store within 150 miles.

Thanks.

You could always call them up and get them to send you a loaner while you send yours back for repair.

Eh, I would much prefer to just swap it out if possible...

There's no guarantee to get it swapped out even if you do visit a store.

I know that, I was just wondering if I could even take it to Best Buy or the AT&T store to get it replaced...

You can try the ATT store. Not sure if they will direct you to Apple or not. Most likely they will.

Best bet is doing what Kash described.

In Japan you must go to the Apple store with hardware issues. 150miles isn't that far on a train. You are at uni, you have time, get a book you need to read or take your laptop or something study for the trip and you have a new phone and a load of studying done.

You overestimate our public transportation system. Sure, 150 miles isn't that bad in Japan, but here in the US, you have to be living within a city or very close to a train station that goes straight into a major city to be able to use trains to traverse 150 miles.
