Charger light very dim?

So on my new 13" MBP sometimes when i place the charger on the computer the light is very dim and it does not charge. If I mess with it then it will turn on. Does this sound like a problem with the charger, or is it normal to sometimes not get a good connection?

Clean all 8 connectors with something like DeoxIT. In my experience it's common for these terminals to come from new with something like lacquer on them.
