I have a late 2007 MacBook and recently i have been decanting stuff from my internal hard drive to my TC, to free up space.

i have now noticed conflicting info regarding the amount of space i have left.

In screen shot 1 (hard drive info) below, it says that i have 60Gb free and in screen shot 2 (about this Mac) it advises that i have only 35+ Gb free. Which is quite a large discrepancy.

Can anyone advise what may be the issue and which one to believe?

thanks in advance

J

Try repairing disk permissions and verify and repair the disk in disk utility. At the bottom of disk utility it should also tell you about the disk space so look at that while you are in there.
