My iphone 3gs was running on ios 5.0.1 and I wanted to upgrade to ios 6.0.1. It is jailbroken and unlocked and I wanted to keep the baseband so that I could unlock it again on the new iOS. So I used redsn0w to upgrade the ios to 6.0.1 and preserve the baseband. The phone went into recovery mode and I did not know what to do so I restored the phone on itunes. Now itunes will recognize it but will not go all the way through the restore and I cannot get it into dfu mode to restore it to the old ios with redsn0w.
