Im shopping for a MacBook, and Im looking for a good comparison on what the MacBook can do versus the MacBook Pro. I plan on using the laptop for travel and standard computer task in the living room and bed. The MacBook Pro seems like a desktop replacement.

I've seen a number of them, but basically it boils down to this:

MacBook Pro: Gamer quality graphics card, bigger screen/higher resolution display, metallic case, in general physically larger and heavier, fast (2.83Ghz?) Core2Duo processor.

MacBook: Not so good for games graphics card (but good enough for, say UT2004), 13.3" widescreen/1280x800 display, plastic case (in white or black), small/light so its handy to tote around, fast (but not as fast as MBP; 2.0Ghz) Core2Duo processor.

And probably what Johnnyfive said.

Seems by what you're looking for the MacBook would suit you fine.

Macbook is fine for what you need it for - even a £400 Dell would do. A MBP is for you if you're a multimedia professional and need some portability.

Good link Jonnyfive!
