Question about battery cycles

my battery cycle is 22 iv only had it two weeks but it was refurbed so dont think their all mine. i charge it twice a day and on the night usually leave it charging for a few hours so it is full for college the next day, is this really bad and gonna break it quickly?

i'm @ 16, i've had it about 2 weeks as well.

what exactly does this mean? cycles mean what exactly?

this like an aging process for a batt and only has a certain cycle/life span before it dies or something?

Basically yes, it represents a full charge and discharge of your battery. A typical life might be 300 - 500 cycles, although to battery will slowly lose performance suring this time, losing around 20% capacity after 300 cycles.

Thanks for the responce. I had a feeling that's what it was. What i didn't know was around how many cycles would it be before one woud start feeling the effects of aging.

how do u check the number of cycles

Go to the Apple sign, look at About this Mac, then click More Information then look at Power settings. Alternatively, download Coconut Battery.
