An AppleScript for cleaning your desktop

I've written a script for something that really annoys me in OS X, all the junk files you get after downloading stuff, especially applications, which I'm constantly having to trash. I've written up what I did and posted the script on a blog here and thought I'd share. Make sure you read the post fully before you implement this by the way!

Simply put, when I run the script (which I happen to do by pressing command-ctrl-Z) it will trash all the files and folders on the right hand side of the desktop only. Anything I have put on the left hand side is safe from being trashed. I'm a bit of a newbie to applescript and I'm sure the script could be optimised so if anyone has any pointers or any other comments I'd be happy to hear them.

I hope you all find this as useful as I do! :mac:
