Hi, this is my second post. I'm an ex-xp user who has just switched to mac. I was curious does my mac not come with programs like word and powerpoint? I need these types of programs asap so if anyone could let me know where i can find them for cheap or free (if they are free) then that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

my macbook came with a demo of office, but you'd need to buy it for the full version. Luckily, my bro bought office some time back, so I just trashed the demo. Not sure of the price, but I'm sure you'll be able to find it on the apple site.

If you're a student check with your University bookstore...

Office 2004 for Mac Standard edition is normally around $200...

BUT at a lot of College Bookstores it is..... $5.00!!!!!

Good Luck!

Some have the INCREDIBLE deal, and some do not.

For example Wichita State University (in KS) has NO pricing deal at all...

IUPUI (in IN) sells it for either $5.00 or $10.00.

go figure.
