Maybe someone has already posted this, but I still thought it was really cool.

Check out this Slideshow

I don't know how they get the lighting and everything so perfect. I'm amazed.

I don't think those are actual photos of behind the computer. It looks more like they combined 2 photos: similar to the way people will take photos of their car with the hood closed and open, then combine them to make it look like the hood is somewhat see-through.

However they do it, it looks great. Would definitely be a head-turner.

I would guess that the picture is taken without the computer/monitor. Then the images is loaded on the desktop. The computer/monitor is physically moved to line up. The camera and tripod could also be move to line everything up. Or just good PhotoShop. Cool either way

That's pretty simple to do. Setup the camera on a tripod so it doesn't move an inch. Setup the laptop closed and take a photo. Open the laptop and take a second photo. Overlap the first photo over the second and cut out everything but what the screen "displays."

You actually do it with the laptop not there at all. Take the first picture, then set the laptop on the desk and take another picture. A little photoshop work to add the computer, but leave the desktop (of the monitor) the original.

POS Dell right now. 2.8 ghz pentium 4 256mb RAM and 40GB HD
That's very easy to do.

put camera on tripod
set manual settings so light meter wont get thrown off
take picture with no laptop
put laptop where you want it
re-take picture
layer picture #2 over picture #1
select the screen of the laptop
deselect icons and dock and bar thingy at the top
the hit "delete"
the end

What they actually do is put a photo on the notebook desktop background, not Photoshop them. This one is patently not Photoshopped, neither is this one.

I think they've been done with various methods. Some are just pictures taken of the background and then lined up on the computer desktop, and some are 2 pictures edited together. I looked through all of them and noticed some are not nearly as well done as the first few.
