reformatting mac

Ive decided to reformat my ibook, does anyone here have any advice about what I should do before formatting?
and once I format, does that mean evrythign will be brand new again?

i doubt that the iBook itself will be brand new :bone:

any luck w/fonts? Backup anything you want to keep to disk or you can Archive and Install

well macman helped me and my fonts are causing other problems so i just decided to reinstall

in yhe ibook manual, it says, "reinstalling sotware" is that he same as reformating?
all i do is just pop in the discs and hit install mac os x?
