Trouble with iPod Mini!

I got my iPod Mini 2 weeks ago, and last night I put it on the dock to charge over night, well now today when I play music on it, the volumne doesnt work, so it stays at the same volumne, the battery icon isnt showing up in the right corner of the screen, and every 20 seconds the music kind of stops for a split second and keeps on going.

a similar thing happened to me with my iPod. Try just leaving it alone for a while(a few horus or so-let it turn off), then turn it back on and charge it.
