Upgrading 10.3.9 OS to 10.4 or 10.5

I have Powerbook G4 with 1.5 Ghrz and 1.3 GB Ram. I would like to upgrade the operating system in order to use other hardwares.

Would the upgrade work with 10.4 and 10.5 OS? I do not have these OS disks. Where can I get theses?

Is there anyone not using the OS that can help out?

You can buy them on the used market. Be sure to get ONLY retail (black) discs, not the gray ones.
