Hi,

i have some questions on the time capsule:

1. What is the RPM for the HDD on the 2TB Time Capsule?
2. About how long would it take to backup 50GB of media using time machine wirelessly to time capsule?
3. Can a CAT5 ethernet cable go into the time capsule? If not, will CAT5E or CAT6 work?

thanks

1 :) What brand/model of HD is inside your TC :) Once you know that, a simple Google will answer that one.
2) It will take several hours, so let it run overnight
3) Yes ( as long as it has an RJ45 connector ) :)

Cheers ... McBie

RJ45 is the connector that is commonly found at the end of Ethernet cables. It's just a bit larger than the connector at the end of the telephone wire that used to be used to connect 56k modems to computers.

Ok thanks.

And btw, the lady on the live chat said that the hard drives in the time capsule are 5400RPM
