Camcorders Compatible with iMovie 08

What are some camcorders that are compat with iMovie 08. I already looked at the support page on apple's site but it didn't really help please just request some camcorders. I was looking at the JVC everio hybrid but i'm not to sure. I would like a cam that I can use to record directly from iMovie with via firewire. Thanks
