    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.

Hey everyone.

First off, thanks for taking the time to read this.

So I still have iLife 08 and with that, I have iMovie 08. I make a lot of videos for YouTube but I have switched to using my Flip Cam because of the problem I am addressing.
When I record from the built-in iSight and play back what I've recorded, there is always a loud "buzz" sound. I was just curious if anyone knew how to fix this problem.

Is there some noise in the environment the mic might be picking up. Things like air conditioning, fans, fridge, loud hard drives, TVs or lights with a buzz. It the Mac next to a fan or something else with a motor.

To eliminate if it is a problem of iMovie it self, try some other application to record audio, perhaps Photo Booth.

Of course it is possibly a hardware issue that needs fixing. You could eliminate that as a possibility by using an external mic or a miniDV camera (with firewire) as your input source.

the importing features of iMovie08 worked perfectly. The previewing and importing are very nice, but do require you to leave your camera plugged in during the import process. This does take quite a while, so we (and many of our users) still think Voltaic has its place.
