I just opened finder and a new tab has appeared labeled, "SHARED"

I have never seen this tab before and under the tab is a file labeld, "vaio"

Now i have gone to my system preferences under accounts and have made sure the guest account is disabled

What is this shared tab and vaio file, all about? Why did it just appear? Should i be worried about anything?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

This probably means that "vaio" is on your wireless network, if you have a wireless router of course. You should look into locking down your wireless router and password protect it so random people, usually neighbors, don't get on your wireless internet.

If your neighbor has a Sony Vaio notebook, tell them to knock it off!
