Problem with USB 128mb Flash Drive....

Hello all,

I have a problem with my PNY 128mb flash drive and I was hoping to get some help with it. The problem started yesterday when my G5 stopped recognizing my flash drive. That was strange since I had used it about an hour earlier to save some excel files. So i plugged it back in and I got an error message, "there are no volumes that OS X can read". So I opened up my powerbook and tried it on there and got the same message. By this time I was getting annoyed. I tried loading it on a Windows machine running ME and it kept asking me if I wanted to format it and I declined.

Now, I have been looking for a program for Windows or MAC that can recover this data. I really do not care to send this off to a specialist since I have looked at the prices and they are usually greater than $100. I have found one program for Windows called Easy Recovery Data Recovery that has looked at the raw data but it crashes quite a bit. This program lets you view certain files, but I have not been able to locate the data that I want to keep the most. Does anyone have any suggestions?

There's a pice of software called PC inspector File recovery, available free from Convar. Again a PC product, but it may help.
