Running itunes 9.0.2

How do I turn the visualizer off for good, completely, permanently, caput? Currently after x minutes it turns on automatically, the difference being audible on a humble macbook. Under the 'view' menu > 'visualizer' the 'options' is grayed out, all I can do is hide it after it comes on.

Many thanks.

What you are describing is impossible.

I can only imagine that you are confusing the "flurry" screensaver for the visualiser. You control the screensaver through the system preferences.

Hi Chas_m,

Thanks for the reply!

It's definitely the itunes visualizer, i really want to find the settings that will stop it turning on automagically.

Do you have any third-party iTunes visualisers? THEY can be set to turn on automatically; the default iTunes one cannot (to the best of my knowledge).
