I've got a C2D Macbook w/ a combo drive. When I check my computer's profile, the only drive it recognizes is the hard drive. I can't insert a disc at all (there's is no 'suction'). Any ideas? I've only used the drive on maybe 3 occasions, all to read data off a cd/dvd. TIA.

Maybe the combo drive just decided to die. If no one else here can give you any suggestions then your probably going to have to call AppleCare up and explain your situation to them. :)

Yeah, that's what I'm worried about. Closest store is 1.5 hrs away. I figure I rarely use the drive, so maybe it's not a big deal. But then it just occurred to me, how am I going to install Leopard when it comes out?
