I have a late 2010 Macbook Air 11.6 inch with 64 GB of harddisk. I have been been using this notebook for about 3 months now. Sometimes I experience random shutdowns out of the blue. The only solutions seems to be to hold the power button for a few seconds to shut down the notebook and to press the power button again to boot it up again. I think(but I am not sure) that this happens only when an external monitor is attached. I use the mini displayport to dvi adapter.

Has anybody experienced this as well and is there a solution to this problem? I have searched the internet for my problem but I have not found anything really useful yet.

It should still be under AppleCare being a late 2010 model, if so then get it to your local Apple Store so they can look at it for you and get it repaired / replaced for free.
