Hey, guys! Yesterday I hooked up my MacBook Pro (Snow Leopard) to my TV to watch a movie on my big screen. I used standard HDMI cabel from the TV and used the Apple HDMI adapter to connect my MacBook through the mini display port. I used my VLC media player and the whole thing was running just fine for about 5 minutes. Then the image on the TV switched to inverted colors. There was no way to restore the original colors, but to pause the film, unplug the cable, replug it and resume play. This kept going on every 10-15 minutes throughout the flick. Really annoying! What could be the problem here? Could it be a format issue? (The movie is a .mkv) Would it be better to convert it and throw it in iTunes?

Any help is much appreciated!
